About the Library

Since the 1990’s, the Tycher Library has been providing Jewish educational, literary and cultural offerings to the greater Dallas community. The library maintains a diverse collection of fiction and non-fiction print and eBooks, DVDs and audiobooks. Through the annual Fall Read and monthly Book Club, the library offers engaging facilitators, stimulating discussions and the opportunity to connect with other readers. 

Mission Statement

The Tycher Library's mission is to inspire lifelong learning through programs and resources that provide a rich understanding of Jewish life and culture. We fulfill this mission as a part of the Center for Jewish Education of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas.

Pop Up Hours & Contact

Check out our Pop Up Library on the main floor of the JCC Tuesday and Thursday 9:30am-Noon.

Our new location is now in the Senior Lounge on the Main Floor of the JCC, which houses our print collection. Linda Blasnik will assist you with your library needs from the Main Lobby next to the senior lounge. 

To visit our collection by appointment, e-mail tycherlibrary@jewishdallas.org or call (214) 615-5206. You can always browse online at www.tycherlibrary.org, however a username and password login are required for checkout and holds. 

Lending & Returns 

Lending Periods 

Print Books = 3 weeks 

eBooks = 3 weeks 

Book Club selections = 2 weeks 

DVDs/audiobooks = 7 days

Return items to the Tycher Library Drop Box at the JCC Main Building Front Entrance. Visit www.jccdallas.org for business hours.

The library does not enforce late fees, however we appreciate prompt return of materials. Items can always be renewed as long as there’s no waitlist. Call (214) 615-5206 or email tycherlibrary@jewishdallas.org to request, checkout and renew materials. 

We no longer accept book, video, or periodical donations. Thank you.
